Built for dredging

The HK pump from Van Heck is specifically developed for the demanding dredging industry and therefore always offers the best balance between reliability and operational costs.

Largest fleet in the world

Van Heck has the world's largest fleet of return water pumps so that we can always and everywhere serve our customers with the best matching equipment.

Worldwide

There is no continent in the world where Van Heck has not supported the efficient and reliable pumping of return water.

We made our name in the dredging industry

The Netherlands is globally known for its expertise in land reclamation, coastal protection, and creating polders. The techniques developed for this are now applied worldwide in large-scale dredging and infrastructure projects.

Van Heck originated from the dredging industry and has been supporting dredging projects for over 50 years with reliable temporary pump solutions for return water drainage and Water Injection Dredging (WID). In land reclamation projects, a sand-water mixture is sprayed by hopper dredgers. While the sand settles, the excess water must be continuously drained. This involves huge water flows that must be pumped around the clock to ensure the project's progress.

With our extensive fleet of high-capacity pump installations, you can rent pumps for dredging projects and rely on Van Heck for the efficient and continuous transport of large volumes of return water. From individual pumps to complete temporary pumping installations, we provide a solution tailored to your project, capacity requirements and site conditions.

World's largest and most powerful

Return water pumps rental

Dredging companies and contractors worldwide rely on the strength, knowledge, and experience of Van Heck. Our return water pumps are specially developed for the harsh conditions of dredging projects, where reliability and continuity are essential. Downtime is not an option. Therefore, our systems are designed for 24/7 operation and built to perform under the heaviest conditions worldwide.

Years of commitment to large-scale land reclamation and dredging projects have led to a robust and proven solution where capacity, reliability, and operational efficiency come together. Powered by reliable CAT engines, our installations deliver day in and day out the performance on which the dredging industry depends.

Smart and efficient

Siphoning

In dredging projects, it is not always necessary to actively pump return water. When sufficient height difference is available, a siphon system can provide an efficient and energy-efficient alternative. By using the natural flow, the water flows back to the environment by itself, without the need for continuous pumping capacity.

The principle is based on communicating vessels: the water supplied on one side flows back through the siphon to a lower body of water. This allows large volumes of return water to be discharged with minimal energy consumption. Van Heck advises per project whether a siphon solution is technically and economically attractive and if desired, provides the complete design and implementation.

Capacity and control

Water Injection Dredging

Even in underwater dredging activities, such as Water Injection Dredging (WID), Van Heck supports with temporary pump installations.

In this, sediment is loosened using water under pressure, after which it is carried away by natural currents. Our installations provide the necessary water capacity and pressure to carry out these operations efficiently and controlled.
