Van Heck provided a fully automatic temporary pumping station connected to the existing power supply of the local water board. This meant no generators were needed and the installation could operate for a long time unattended. For over six months, the temporary pumping station kept the entire area behind it dry.
Within one week of the application, Van Heck realized a fully operational and automatic pump installation. Thanks to the connection to the electricity grid of the water board, a sustainable and reliable solution was realized without fuel logistics or extra maintenance for generators.
The temporary installation immediately took over the function of the defective pumping station and ensured water safety for the entire area for more than half a year. The polder area remained dry and damage to agricultural lands, infrastructure, and buildings was prevented.
Just before the Christmas period, the customer's existing installation was found to be no longer usable. Quick action was essential to prevent major damage to the hinterland.
In collaboration with the local water board and THW, Van Heck realized a fully automatic emergency installation within seven days. The combination of quick deployment, high reliability, and long-term operational reliability made this project an excellent example of the power of temporary pumping stations in critical situations.
