Large-scale deployment during floods
During severe flooding in Somerset, England, Van Heck was engaged by the English government to swiftly remove large volumes of excess water. Within a few hours, a large convoy with pumps, piping, and supporting equipment left from the Netherlands towards the affected area.
The magnitude of the disaster required an exceptional effort. With dozens of high-capacity pumps and a large amount of piping, a temporary pumping installation was quickly set up. This allowed for the rapid pumping out of the excess water, minimizing the impact of the floods as much as possible.
35 trucks full of pumping capacity
For the emergency operation, no less than 35 trucks were deployed. These were filled with dozens of high-capacity pumps, pipeline systems, and all necessary materials for installation and on-site support.
Thanks to the size of our mobile pump fleet and the experience of our teams, Van Heck was able to provide a large pumping capacity in a short time. This allowed emergency services to continue their work in the affected area.
